Multi-Boost Control System Instructions

Congratulations on your purchase! Your solenoid may be used to switch between high and low boost modes with the included 12 volt switch. Note that the solenoid has no polarity requirements, so it cannot be wired backwards. The solenoid has three ports. The center port ("In") is for the incoming boost signal from the turbo or intake manifold. The port nearest the wires on the solenoid is the "lo" port. This port will be connected with the "In" port without power applied. The remaining port is the "Hi" port and will be connected with the "In" port, when power IS applied.

Diagrams A and B below, show a typical set up. In the configuration shown in the diagrams, the boost signal will be directly routed to the wastegate, resulting in a "Lo" boost mode until the 12v switch is closed. At this time, the boost signal will be routed through the adjustable boost controller to give a "Hi" boost mode. Variations on this design may be achieved by adding a second boost controller, or by cascading multiple solenoids for 3, 4, or more boost levels. Remember to use snug fitting vacuum hoses and ty-rap all hose connections, for safety.
